2025’s Highlights

2025 Champion

At this year’s event, Eden Youth was proud to honor Alfredo Rodriguez with a commemorative plaque as our very first Community Champion. In recognition of Alfredo’s unwavering dedication, outstanding service, and inspiring commitment to uplifting Hayward, we celebrated the leadership, compassion, and tireless advocacy that has made a lasting impact on the lives of those around them. With deep appreciation, we recognize Alfredo as a true champion of change. Alfredo continues to show up for Eden Youth by helping connect our programs to the Veteran’s Memorial Hall and by serving as a keynote speaker, inspiring young people to lead with purpose and pride.

Resource Fair

Our resource fair connected youth and families to a strong mix of support in one place—from youth programs and enrichment, to health and behavioral health resources, food and community services, environmental and outdoor opportunities, and housing support. We were grateful to host partners like Alameda Alliance for Health, La Familia, Horizon Services, the Alameda County Food Bank, the City of Hayward Housing Division, HERA, Keep Hayward Clean & Green, HARD, and many others—alongside Eden Youth programs including PPV/SAMHSA, YAC/FNL, Endgame/SFMUH, and Outdoors for All.

Tri-City Voice

Eden Youth was featured in the Tri City Voice for our work promoting substance use prevention through Reach for a Better Community (RFBC). The article highlighted how RFBC supports youth wellness through a positive, community-centered resource fair—bringing together local partners, hands-on activities, and a welcoming space where young people and families can learn about healthy coping strategies. The story also recognized the leadership of Eden Youth staff and our Youth Advisory Council, uplifting youth voices and advocacy efforts that help create a safer, healthier South Hayward community.
