Juneteenth commemorate June 19, 1865, when enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas finally learned of their freedom - more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. This day represents not just the end of slavery, but the ongoing journey toward equality and justice in American.

As we reflect on this important milestone in American history, we recognize the fight for freedom and equity continues. Today’s challenges remind us that the journey toward justice is ongoing. We remain committed to supporting and protecting all members of our community, ensuring that the promise of freedom beomce a reality for everyone.

Eden Youth proudly had a table at the Juneteenth Fest hosted by Westcoast Market and the City Of Hayward, showcasing some of our favorite black owned local small businesses, delicious food, live music, and entertainment!
